Ok, where did December go?

Last time I looked it was the 3rd week in November and now it’s four days to Christmas!  Where did that time go?

It’s been a busy few weeks and most of my trades have been off the weekly and 4 hour charts.  I’ll look to put some up details over the next few days for you to peruse.  Two points to make until I have time to put down some proper blog posts.

1.  Review of 2010 & Plans for 2011.

FXTrader Sandy, myself and another trader buddy recently spent a great day holed up reviewing our progress from 2010 and establishing our plans for next year.  No internet, no trades, no distractions. We just hired a conference room for a day and spent it brainstorming our plans for next year.  It was an excellent day which we all really enjoyed.  Next year we have some big plans as both individuals and as a group (watch this space) but I suppose the point to take away is that these next couple of weeks are a great chance to get away from the screens and spend sometime with the family.  However, have you pencilled in some time to review your year and plan for 2011? If not, then why not?

2. Traders Luncheon

I also had a hastily and last minute arranged lunch with some trader buddies last week.  It’s something I’ve been doing for years however due to my work schedule this year was all a bit too last minute!  However I enjoyed the chance to catch-up and listen to people’s tales of their trading year.  It made me realise that I should do this more often.  I know that I have run an informal social drinks through Meetup.com for the London Traders’ Network (see here) but what I’ll also start to do is to run a quarterly informal lunch or dinner for traders.  Nothing extravagant just a chance to meet up and have a bite to eat and a chin wag with other traders in a quiet restaurant.  If that’s something that you’d be interested in attending then drop me a line.
